Gas safety
At the end of March 2023 we were 100% compliant with gas safety which is a great result for our gas team and contractors, who were ably supported by the Housing team. Neighbourhood Management support and collaboration has been vital in completing problematic access cases. External contractor support remains important for us to stay compliant as we don’t have the numbers within our own teams to service the number of properties we now have. Their consistent effort meant the team ensured that all properties were visited or made safe.

In the first three years of our five year programme we have provided 505 new homes and are currently forecasting a total of between 900 and 1,000 homes by 31 March 2025.

How we are helping to protect the environment for future generations
All of our homes are rated with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), a national standard from A (highest) to F (lowest), our new build homes are all rated in the top three ratings of A, B, C. In the first three years of our five year programme we have delivered 4% to EPC A, 93% to EPC B and 4% to EPC C.

Environmental sustainability is a key topic for us, at this year’s employee conference we’ll be raising awareness of what we’re doing as an organisation as well as providing helpful tips to residents and employees.

Evictions
We carried out four evictions during 2022/23; whilst this is always a difficult decision it’s important that we take necessary action to make homes available to those that really need them.
